On the international communist movement

The 17th Congress passed a specific decision concerning the international communist movement. In the pre-congress discussion, questions and concerns were expressed about the developments, especially in China, but in other countries which pursue the road of socialist construction. The members of the party agreed with the assessments of the theses of the CC on the economy of China, the appearance of exploitative social forces, with political expressions in Chinese society and expressed their concerns about the dangers which are inherent in these developments. These concerns were formulated based on the negative experience of the victory of the counterrevolution and the reintroduction of capitalism in the former socialist countries in central and eastern Europe .

The KKE is interested in studying the developments in this country, as in other countries, such as Cuba, Vietnam and DPRK, through bilateral relationship. At the same time it takes into consideration the peculiarities of each country. The specific difficulties which they face from imperialist pressure and isolation. Independently with the disagreements in principle with the apparent strengthening of capitalist relations in China, independently of the different assessments in specific instances with other parties, It will continue its solidarity with the peoples who are found in the firing line of imperialist aggression.
