Common Position of Parties on the Venue for the Forthcoming 15th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties

To the CPs which participate in the IMCWP
Dear comrades,
We were informed that a proposal was tabled at the meeting of the Working Group in Beirut for the 15th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP) to be hosted by the CP of Spain.
Our parties, with this common position of theirs, state their direct opposition to such an eventuality, stressing that the International Meeting of the CPs cannot be hosted by a party which is in the Presidium of the opportunist centre in Europe, the so-called “Party of the European Left” (PEL). The PEL is a tool of the EU for the decommunization of the CPs and in no instance will we consent to the hosting of this meeting by a member-party of its Presidium.
In addition, we note that at the same time when this proposal for the hosting of the IMCWP by the CP of Spain was tabled in Beirut, the process for the finalization of the congress of the ELP was underway, which as it was finally announced will be held in Spain this December. This fact exposes the motives hidden behind the proposal for the 15th IMCWP to be hosted by the CP of Spain.
