Statement of the Press Office of the CC of the KKE concerning the developments in North Africa and the Middle East

The KKE denounces the vicious repression of the peoples’ mobilizations in Algeria, Libya, Bahrain, and Yemen. It expresses its solidarity and support for the struggle of the working class and popular forces which fight for work and life with full rights, for democratic freedoms. They are the victims of harsh capitalist exploitation and repression by the bourgeois classes of their countries and the international allies of these bourgeois classes, the imperialist powers which compete with each other and intervene to protect their interests in every way and with every means at their disposal.
