The delegation of KKE in the European Parliament condemned the escalation of Colombia’s aggressiveness against Venezuela
On Wednesday 28th July the delegation of KKE in the European Parliament condemned the escalation of Colombia’s aggressiveness against Venezuela sending the following letter to Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The Colombian state and the Colombian government, with the open support of the United States of America, escalate once more the threats against Venezuela, exacerbating the situation in the area, and creating the conditions for a severe war conflict. The provocations against Venezuela have been systematized the last two years, with political and diplomatic offensives, with the establishment of seven new US bases on its territories, with continuous penetrations of paramilitary forces, while there are accusations on the activity of Colombian agents and commandos and on their involvement in plans of assassination of trade union and political leaders.
We demand the exacerbation of the Colombian aggressiveness to be condemned.
We demand to stop every partnership between the EU and Colombia, as well as any involvement of the Dutch military bases in Aruba and Curaçao.
To move off immediately all the foreign military bases from the region, including the Dutch and French military bases and installations.
To reject and condemn every threat against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Venezuela.
