KKE-KNE Festival for Immigration in Athens

"Greek and immigrant workers struggle together for the regroupment and counterattack of worker's popular movement"
July 3-4

The importance of class solidarity and struggle was stressed for ninth year in succession through the Immigration Festival that took place at the “Fix” Park in Athens on Friday 3rd.

The festival was organised by the Athens Organisation of KKE and KNE.

Immigrants from several countries participated in the festival with their own stalls and exhibition boards -some written in their own language.

Workers from all over the world met in festival demonstrating that Greek and immigrant workers have the same enemy that is monopolies and imperialism. This was stressed among others by the General Secretary of the CC of KKE Aleka Papariga who extended a greeting at the first day of the festival. It was a call for the struggle for people’s power and socialism.

A similar event was held by the Party Organisation of Thesaloniki while a series of events on immigration were organised at local level.
