KKE actions of Solidarity with Palestine

KKE responding to the decisions on the practical solidarity with the Palestinian people and their struggle taken during the Extraordinary Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties in Damascus, Syria in September 2009 as well as in the 11^th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties in New Delhi, India in November 2009 proceeded to the following actions on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people:  

• a delegation of KKE comprising of Thanassis Pafilis member of the CC of KKE and MP and Kostas Papadakis member of the CC of KKE protested in the US embassy posting a statement of protest on the US support to the aggressive barbarous and criminal policy of the Israeli government against the Palestinian people and the peoples in the region.
• another delegation of KKE consisting of Yiannis Giokas member of the Bureau of the CC of KNE and MP and Ilias Lengeris member of the International Section of the CC of KKE protested in the Israeli embassy posting a statement of protest on the aggressive, barbarous and criminal policy of the Israeli government against the Palestinian people and the peoples in the region.
• the CC of KKE sent to the embassy of the Palestinian Authority a statement of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
• in the Plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Giorgos Toussas MEP of KKE and member of the CC of KKE, denounced the encouragement and support of the Israeli criminal policy against the Palestinian people by the US, the NATO and the EU.
• this period 902 radio station and TV channel broadcast a series of programmes about the struggle of the Palestinian people for liberation and for the establishment of their own independent, sovereign, and viable state with East Jerusalem as its capital next to the Israeli state.

Protest of the CC of KKE to the Israeli Government   

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People the Central Committee of KKE expresses to the Israeli government its strong protest over the unacceptable treatment of the Palestinian people both within Israel as well as in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip. We demand:

• the release of all political prisoners detained in Israeli prisons
• the dismantlement of the unacceptable Wall of separation in Jerusalem
• the immediate stop of the expansion of settlements and the beginning of a process for the withdrawal of the settlers from the existing ones
• the Israeli army to  lift the blockades of the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank

As every people, the Palestinian people have the inalienable right to live in their own independent and sovereign state, next to the Israeli state.

Statement of the CC of KKE on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people

To the Palestinian people

KKE on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people extends a warm militant greeting to the Palestinian people and expresses its full support and solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian people for:

• their liberation against the barbarity of the occupation forces of the Israeli army
• the end of the settlements and the withdrawal of all settlers from the Palestinian territory
• the dismantlement of the unacceptable Wall of separation in Jerusalem
• the right of all Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland
• the lifting of all blockades against Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
• the establishment of an independent viable and sovereign Palestinian state in the territories of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital next to Israel

We salute your struggle that constitutes a big obstacle for the realisation of the imperialist plans of the US, the EU and the other imperialist organisations such as NATO for the so called “New Middle East” 

YOUR VICTORY WILL BE THE VICTORY OF ALL THE PEOPLE AGAINST THE IMPERIALIST NEW WORLD ORDER
