Festival KKE-KNE: Solidarity with Venezuela and Bolivia

The Communist and Workers’ Parties gathered in Athens on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of KKE and the 40th anniversary of KNE and their Festival, are expressing their sincere concern with the developments in Bolivia and the ongoing efforts to destabilize the popular and legitimate government of Bolivia, just recently and overwhelmingly reaffirmed in the referendum held in this country.

We denounce the subversive and secessionist tendencies in Bolivia, clearly backed and stimulated by the US administration, which are aiming in overthrowing a government which is not lining up itself with the imperialist plans in the region.

Likewise we condemn the multiple plans and actions of imperialist interference in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in cooperation with the oligarchy of the country. The recently uncovered attempted coup d ‘etat proves that such plans have never been given up.

We express our firm and full-hearted solidarity to the peoples of Bolivia and Venezuela and their governments in their strive for national sovereignty and territorial integrity and in their defense of their achievements and the right to determine their fortunes without imperialist interference.

We also express our solidarity with the progressive governments of Latin America and their popular movements which are likewise under the imperialist pressure and threats.

We furthermore vehemently denounce the policies of USA and the EU which are openly favoring and stimulating all kind of subversive actions in the above mentioned countries and in the region, promoting the interests of the multinational and transnational corporations and the control of material and energy resources.
