Message of Condolences
The Central Committee of KKE received with deep sadness the news of the passing always of the leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine George Habash and sends its sincerest condolences to the leadership of PFLP and his family.
George Habash had been one of the most distinguished personalities of the Palestinian movement of resistance and liberation from the Israeli occupation. His political ideas, in the context of the broader Marxist Palestinian movement, linked up the Palestinian issue with the need for profound social changes, with the struggle for socialism in all Arab countries.
The life and struggles of George Habash constitute precious experience for the continuing struggle of the Palestinian people for their national and social emancipation.
