Protest against the new Israeli blockade over Gaza
| The Press Bureau of KKE issued on 22.01.08 the following statement: KKE calls upon the Greek people to resolutely condemn the new criminal blockade imposed once again by the Israeli govermenet over the Gaza strip. This new inhuman escalation of the acts of genocide against the Palestinian people lead to deprive 1,5 millions of Palestinians of any water and energy supply. This are the results of the so much advertised agreements of the Annapolis summit and of the recent visit of G. Bush to the Meade East. |  |
KKE appeals to the Greek people to express more decisively solidarity with the just struggle of the Palestinian people and to counter the imperialist plots in our region.
On the same day on 22.01.08 a protest rally was organized in front of the Embassy of Israel in Athens by several mass organizations and movements among then PAME and the Greek Peace Committee EEDYE.
On 24.01.08 a group of MPs elected with KKE visited the Embassy of Israel and expressed their protest.
