Appeal of solidarity with the workers of Airbus Industries
2nd European Meeting on EducationWe participants to the 2nd European meeting on education express our solidarity to the workers of Airbus in struggle in many European countries.
The attacks are the result of the Lisbon Strategy and the policy followed by the conservative and social democrat governments in Europe cutting jobs and rights, implementing the Maastricht Treaty and the WTO agreements, in the name of the “competivity” and higher profits for the transnational capital.
This same policy implemented in the education provokes already indignation and large protest movements in Europe.
We demand to immediately stop any measure cutting jobs and promoting anti laboral restructuring by Airbus as well as any military engagement of EADS.
What is desperately needed today is a policy in favor of the needs of today of the workers and youth and a broad alliance against the choices of big capital and militarism.
