About the 9th congress of KNE
All documents of the congress (report of the outgoing CC, theses of the CC to the 9th congress, closing intervention of the CC, resolution) were unanimously approved by the delegates.
The congress was attended by 51 organizations from 44 countries around the world, and counted with the participation of a broad delegation of WFDY.
Delegates’ profile 42% Workers (including working students). From those 59% full time employment and 41% part-time 37,5% University students. 19% Students of technological institutes. 5% Postgraduate students. 7% Unemployed. 2,5% Secondary schools students. 1 delegate was peasant. 1 delegate was self employed 1 delegate was student of Academy of Merchant Marine |
Class origin of the delegates that are students at different levels of education 72% come from working class families 20% from families of tradesmen and self employed 2% from peasants’ families 3% from bourgeois families Average age of the delegates: 23.8 years. Average militancy in the organization: 6.8 years. |
The 90% of the delegates were also members of the Communist Party of Greece with average militancy in the Party of 3.2 years.
