Solidarity Resolution With The Palestinian People By Youth Organisations

EDON, the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), the Youth of the Communist Party of Turkey, the Youth of the Palestinian People’s Party, the Young Communist League of Israel, the Youth of the United Cyprus Party, the Youth of the Peace and Democracy Movement within the framework of the International Summer Camp organised by EDON between 4-11 July 2006 jointly:

1. Express our exasperation and abhorrence concerning the latest atrocities that the government of Israel exercise at the expense of the Palestinian people, violating any sense of International Law and respect for the human rights of the Palestinians. At the same time, we condemn the barbarian Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip; interventions which come to be added to the long list of massive killings of the last decades at the expense of the Palestinian people.

2. The killings of innocent citizens, the destruction of bridges, of water supply systems, of electric supply plants, of Palestinian Authority buildings, of other infrastructure works consist actions of genocide of the Palestinian people. The construction of the racist Wall on behalf of the State of Israel comprises an act which reinforces and deepens the occupation of the Palestinian land.

3.We demand the immediate and unconditional termination of the Israeli invasions in the Gaza Strip and we demand the immediate withdrawal of Israeli troops from all autonomous Palestinian land.

4.We demand from all sides to take immediate actions for the prompt termination of the barbarous raid and the attempt of genocide taking place by the government of Israel against the Palestinian people. Imperialists encourages Israel aggressiveness and it present actions and they block every effort of the two people to solve the problem without imperialist interventions in an area which has geostrategical importance for them.

5.We believe that it is necessary to reach a just and peaceful solution to the Palestinian Problem in such way that safeguards the rights of the Palestinian people and enables them to live in their own independent state of Palestine, with capital city the Eastern Jerusalem, next to Israel and within the borders drawn before the war of 5th of June of 1967. This is possible only through the full and immediate application of the UN resolutions and the relevant decisions with regard to the Palestinian problem, the refugees issue as well as the simultaneous recognition of the state of Israel by Arab countries.

6.We express our undivided support and solidarity with the struggling Palestinian people. We unite our voice with the struggles of the Palestinians for ultimate consolidation of the right to live in an independent country. We further express our solidarity with the democratic and progressive forces inside Israel that struggle against the occupation and the aggression of Israel. We express our alertness to continue reinforcing our joint struggles against the bloodstained imperialist atrocities aiming at the ultimate victory of peace, democracy and socialism.

7. Finally, we call upon the youth to express in practice its solidarity and support toward the suffering Palestinian people.
