GREETINGS
TO THE 19th CONGRESS OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF GREECE (KKE)
Dear Comrade :
Through you, the Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas
(PKP-1930, the Philippine Communist Party) sends warmest fraternal greetings to
the 19th Congress of the Communist Party
of Greece (KKE) which will be held in Athens on April 11 to
14, 2013.
We salute the KKE’s leading role in the Greek
people’s struggles for disengagement from the genocidal NATO war machine, from
the imperialist EU alliance, and from the Eurozone
debt trap. We hail KKE’s role in inspiring the Greek people’s combative
anti-capitalist counter-attack against the crisis policies of monopoly
capitalism.
The KKE’s call for disobedience and defiance against
the dictates of the ECB, the IMF, WB and other imperialist centers, have
generated widespread response among the working peoples not only in Greece but
in many other countries as well. For indeed, disobedience and defiance is the
only way to fight the drastic cuts in state spending on health, education, food
and other social welfare rights ; to fight contractualization
and the abolition of labor rights ; to fight state and employer intimidation of
workers and the banning of strikes ; to fight the imposition of new taxes and
charges on government services ; to fight against state authoritarianism,
repression and sponsorship of anti-communist and fascist organizations ; and to
fight for the unilateral cancellation of debts.
The PKP-1930 further salutes KKE’s initiation of,
and constant support for, the annual International Meeting of Communist and
Workers’ Parties (IMCWP). The IMCWP has become an important platform for the
ideological struggle against opportunism and reformism, for exposing the
pseudo-oppositionist mechanisms of the bourgeoisie, and for efforts at
formulating a unified revolutionary strategy for communist and workers’
parties. The KKE’s contributions to these annual meetings are significant for
their fidelity to the class viewpoint, and for their constant concentration on
the aim of overthrowing bourgeois power and building socialism.
The PKP-1930 hails KKE’s constant expression of
international class solidarity, including on the issue of migrant workers’
rights. We share KKE’s concerns regarding the strengthening of capitalist
relations of production in some socialist and socialist-oriented countries ;
regarding the danger that the restructuring of a socialist economy towards a
national-democratic type of mixed economy could lead to capitalist restoration
; and regarding the drifting of some parties towards the “left networks” of the
bourgeoisie. We therefore also salute KKE’s role in forming a communist pole
among parties which defend Marxism-Leninism.
We hope that the 19th Congress of
KKE will help to further strengthen the revolutionary role of the KKE in
leading the struggles of the Greek people for the overthrow of capitalism, for
working class people’s power, and for the construction of socialism. We also
wish every success to the goal of this 19th KKE Congress of
strengthening the People’s Alliance as a vehicle for resistance against
imperialism, for the defense of trade union and peoples’ rights and civil
liberties, and for the advancement of the anti-monopoly and anti-capitalist
struggle.
We look forward to further strengthening the
fraternal relations between our two parties, based on the principles of
solidarity and proletarian internationalism, and within the framework of
the unity of Communist and Workers’ Parties in the global struggle for peace,
freedom, democracy and social progress --- for a world free from exploitation
and war.
