It is not sufficient to know the strategy of the adversary; it is also necessary to know with what tactics, manoeuvres and arguments he pursues it
The tactics by which the waves of capitalist restructurings are pushed forward must become an object of study in the action of the Party, more than ever before, at the level of the CC and the leading bodies, and at the BO level, as well as among friends and associates. The experience of the working people must be used, as they are the ones who suffer at first hand the effects of the adversary's tactics.
In recent years, on both the global and the EU level, there have been increasingly serious concerns regarding, on the one hand, how to manage the repercussions of restructuring, and on the other, how to avert the upsurge of the class struggle. There are concerns over the struggles and activities that have erupted, and over the growing indignation, as the hotspots of struggle multiply. They seek through "aspirins" and illusions to "smooth over" the rough edges, to somehow "tame" developments.
On these grounds and under the pressure of popular displeasure and protests throughout the capitalist world including Greece, forces have appeared, particularly in the social democratic and opportunistic camps, that are discussing the change in "mixed management". They try neo-Keynesian recipes, without touching the general line of restructuring, without raising the issue of abolishing the laws and choices that have eliminated gains. By advancing the slogan of enhancing the "political identity" of the EU and its "social face", they hide the anti-labour nature of their choices. Their concerns are used by governments and management in an effort to pass down the line of acquiescence and the reasoning that the only way the problems of the people will be solved is supposedly through so-called social dialogue and participation in bourgeois institutions. These same concerns are also utilised to assimilate international militant trends and activities.
Our Party's action must therefore take this aspect into account as well. These manoeuvres must be revealed and rejected so that political conclusions can be drawn and the class struggle reinforced.
