STATEMENT OF THE CC OF THE KKE

NOW THE PEOPLE MUST INTERVENE MORE DECISIVELY
The KKE calls on the workers, the self-employed, the young people of Attica to a rally in Syntagma Square, Friday November 4 at 6.00 in the afternoon. It calls for an alliance so that the people themselves can intervene more decisively in the developments. The blackmail and intimidating dilemmas which are posed by the government, the parties of the plutocracy and the EU must fail.
Now it must be heard even louder:
DOWN WITH THE GOVERNMENT AND THE PARTIES OF THE PLUTOCRACY
THE PEOPLE CAN IMPEDE AND END THE SAVAGE SACRIFICES WHICH ARE IMPOSED ON IT, THROUGH NEW AGREEMENTS AND THE NEW MEMORANDA FOR THE PROFITS AND THE PROTECTION OF THE EU AND THE EUROZONE
The people must strengthen the class and popular struggles and utilise the elections to weaken PASOK-ND and the other parties of the plutocracy and the EU. The KKE must be strengthened. At the same time the people’s organization in the workplaces and neighbourhoods must proceed more decisively. This is the path to block the worst which they are bringing, as the crisis in the EU and the Eurozone is deepening and the inter-imperialist contradictions are sharpening.
The people must now trust in their just cause and strength to repel the worst. They must do away with illusions, calls for consensus and social cohesion, the ideological constructs, dilemmas which are fostered by the bourgeois parties.
A solution in favour of the people can exist only with a strong KKE and organized people. People’s alliance and counterattack for people’s power, the socialization of the monopolies, the disengagement of the country from the EU and the unilateral cancellation of the debt.
