Delegation of the Communist Party of Venezuela visits Greece

During his stay C.Wimmer met with Aleka Papariga, General Secretary of the CC of KKE and other cadres of the party in charge of the ideological and international work, with the editorial staff of the party’s newspaper Rizospastis, with the party’s radio and TV station and with the KKE branch Organizations in the cities of Athens, Thessaloniki and Pireus. In a joint press conference with Aleka Papariga Carolus Wimmer informed the Greek media about the recent referendum in Venezuela, the latest developments regarding the Latin American integration and the positions of the Communist Party of Venezuela in support of the Bolivarian process. |

A solidarity event was also organized by the Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (EEDYE) and by the Greek Committee for International Democratic Solidarity (EEDDA).
During various massive friendship meetings organized by the KKE and KNE organizations in Athens and Thessaloniki C. Wimmer reported on the struggles of the Venezuelan people in defense of the Bolivarian process against imperialism and reactionary forces, on the developments around the Latin American integration and the popular struggles in the region as well as on the proposals and actions promoted by the Venezuelan communists.
