KKE MEPs in Solidarity With The Italian Antiwar Movement

Dear Mr. Fosco Gianini
By this we would like to express our full solidarity with the actions of the numerous anti war movements in your country as well as with the 8 senators endorsing the statement “Afghanistan, we will vote NO” aiming to end the Italian military presence in Afghanistan.
We know very well that this was one of the main demands of the antiwar mobilizations all these years in your country and in the world. It corresponds fully to the very demands and to the actual struggles of the antiwar movement also in our country. That’s why this struggle has a wider importance and support.
Especially in this days, marked by the massive indignation and protest against the new criminal acts by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people and the positions of the EU, USA and the governments, by the new demands of NATO to increase the military forces in Afghanistan and the numerous revelations regarding the “antiterrorist” cooperation EU-USA, active support to any action opposing imperialist new world order is an elementary duty.
