KKE protests Condoleezza Rice’s visit to Greece
The Athens’ branch of KKE in a communiqué stressed that the visit aims at promoting the US imperialist plans in the broader region, that will be finalized in the NATO meeting to be held in Sofia including:

On Monday April 24, the Greek communists took police forces by surprise by hoisting a giant banner from the central Athens Music Hall, just a few meters from to the heavily guarded U.S. embassy in Athens, while a demonstration was taking place in the centre of Athens.
The banner, that was covering the whole of the building front, was saying: «CONDOLEEZA RICE GO ΗΟΜΕ. The imperialists dismember the Balkans, prepare attack on Iran and continue to slaughter the Iraqi people”
Today, April 25 thousands of people responded to the call of KKE and KNE and gathered in the Old University in Athens in spite of the climate of intimidation that the government tried to impose, deploying thousands of policemen in the city center.
The demonstrators marched through the center of Athens protesting the visit of Condoleezza Rice to Athens, demanding no Greek participation in the imperialist plans, and expressing their solidarity with the people that are facing the imperialist threats, aggressions and occupation.
